You’re a safe driver: You stay off your phone, pay attention to the road, and have learned to drive defensively. While these are all great habits, protecting yourself on the Chicago roadways also requires regular auto service and brake repair. Squealing Brakes Most modern cars have a built-in warning system for when your brake pads get worn too thin, but if you hear squealing, your pads need replacing immediately. There is no way of knowing how frequently the previous owner of a used car had maintenance performed. A certified mechanic can evaluate the used car you are considering before you buy it, eliminating the risk of buying an inferior product. Here are the reasons a used car you’re considering buying should be evaluated by a certified mechanic. A trained mechanic will also run a full diagnostic on the car. Condition An auto mechanic is able to assess the overall condition of the… Read more

This car was towed into Bucaro Brothers Auto Care because it stopped working. Another auto shop had some some body work and customized the hood, but the air filter housing wouldn’t fit so they decided to cut the top off. When they did this, the opening sucked a leaf into the mass air flow sensor. We were able to clean the sensor and fix the problem. We also recommended that he speak to the body shop owner who customzied the hood and began the problem. A happy Bucaro Brothers Auto Care customer!
